This page will be updated as further guidelines are provided.
Following on from recent updates from the Government surrounding the risk of Covid-19, please find below information and guidance relating to the continuation of Community Speedwatch Groups.
The Government has updated guidelines with immediate effect in order to reduce day-to-day contact with others, and reduce the spread of infection:
- People must stay at home, except for very limited purposes;
- Non-essential shops and community spaces must close;
- All gatherings of more than two people in public are prohibited.
Every citizen must comply with these new measures. In order to ensure members of the public follow these guidelines, Community Speedwatch will no longer operate until further notice to ensure members observe the above instructions.
We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that Sussex Police and Sussex Safer Roads Partnership are committed to implementing best practice that promotes the wellbeing of our customers and partners.
Our priority lies with protecting the safety of the public, and will continue to provide updates as often as we can.
