Sharp - Government Safety ratings for helmets
SHARP enables riders to more easily select a helmet which matches their needs. It provides consumers with an independent assessment of the safety performance of helmets sold in the UK. The SHARP RATING reflects the performance of each helmet model following a series of advanced laboratory tests and rates helmets from 1-5 stars.
Motorcycle Industry Association
The MCI is a trade association, representing the needs of 120+ member companies; motorcycle manufacturers (Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Piaggio), importers of motorcycles and associated products, motorcycle factors, service providers and trainers. They work to promote and grow the use of Powered Two Wheelers (PTW) and develop an environment where motorcycling can flourish.
BikeSafe
The whole purpose of Bikesafe, a nation wide scheme, is to reduce casualties among bikers by passing on tips and knowledge, to give an insight to safer, smoother riding and a heightened awareness of possible hazards. The scheme invites motorcyclists to participate in an assessment on their present skills, and advice to help make their riding in and around Sussex safer and more enjoyable.
East Sussex Advanced Motorcyclists
The ESAM's main objective is providing preparation for the I.A.M Advanced Motorcycle Test, they we are also a social club offering club nights and ride outs.
Enhanced Rider Scheme
The ERS is an assessment and training designed for fully licensed motorcyclists who have passed their test. It’s ideal for you if you:

* are returning to riding after a break
* are upgrading to a more powerful motorcycle
* want a health check on your riding

The IAM runs Road Rider Plus, helping all riders to get the most out of their time on the roads.
RoSPA Advanced Riders
RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders' aim is to reduce road accidents by encouraging an interest in road safety and by improving driving and riding standards, knowledge and skill. In order to do this, RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders have over 50 local groups that will provide free training to help you improve your riding skills and help you train to become an advanced rider.
Motorcycle Industry Trainers Association
The MCITA is a member category for the Motor Cycle Industry Association, dedicated to motorcycle rider trainers and companies involved in all types of training, including pre-test, post-test, off-road and track. Membership offers many strong benefits and you can read about them in the ‘Trainers‘ section. With safety as a top priority, learner and improver riders that choose a member trainer have additional peace of mind in regards to the safety and service levels they can expect.
