Over the past three years, reports into Operation Crackdown have doubled and we are now received approximately 900 a month.

A full report is generated each month and uploaded to this website to give you the most up to date statistics and information about how your reports have helped us to make the roads of Sussex safer for all road users.

Since August 2007, over 27,500 reports have been made to Operation Crackdown.  Repeat offenders account for approximately 7,500 of these reports.

As of 1 September 2010, these reports have helped us to:

  • Generate over 2,700 letters of advice
  • Disseminate over 600 intelligence reports to the Sussex Police Road Policing Unit
  • Seize 172 uninsured vehicles
  • Make 222 warnings/seizures using Section 59 of the Police Reform Act
  • Arrest 49 drivers
