Police are appealing for witnesses after a 21-year-old woman died in a collision on the A27 at Castle Goring last night (Sunday December 11).
 
At approximately 10.45pm a Ford KA and a black BMW collided on the westbound carriageway.
 
The driver of the KA, a 21-year-old woman from Chichester, was taken to Worthing Hospital but died from her injuries a short time later.
 
The driver of the BMW, a 49-year-old man from Bexhill, was also taken to Worthing Hospital suffering from a serious leg injury.
 
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who has information which may assist police with their enquiries to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Exchange.
