People in East Grinstead are being asked for their comments about possible amendments to parking arrangements at a number of locations in the town.

The proposals are in addition to the possible introduction of a new Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) and alterations to the current CPZ, which are currently also being considered.

The roads involved in the additional amendments are Buckhurst Way, Estcots Drive, Felbridge Close and Harvest Hill.

West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, Pieter Montyn, said: “The proposals incorporate a number of suggestions we have received from the community in the past and are designed to improve road safety and reduce congestion.”

The proposals can be viewed at East Grinstead Library during normal opening hours or by visiting the County Council website at www.westsussex.gov.uk and searching for ‘controlled parking zones’.

Comments can be submitted in writing to - The Parking Strategy Team, West Sussex County Council, The Grange, Tower Street, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 1RH – or by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

The deadline for comments is Friday October 28.

A decision on whether to take forward the additional amendments and the new CPZ will be made at the December meeting of the North Mid Sussex County Local Committee.
