The High Street in Shoreham is to be resurfaced from Thursday March 4, to repair pothole damage.

The £50,000 West Sussex County Council scheme will take place overnight and will involve laying a new asphalt surface and new road markings.

The scheme is scheduled to take up to two nights to complete, weather permitting. It will be carried out from 7pm to 7am, with the most disruptive work being carried out before 11pm.

The road will be closed and no parking allowed there during working hours. The County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Potholes are being repaired as quickly as possible. Residents are being urged to drive carefully and encouraged to report potholes to the Highways team on 01243 642105, or online at www.westsussex.gov.uk by searching ‘potholes’.
