Resurfacing work in North Road, Lancing, between and including the railway level crossing and the Culver Road junction, will start from Sunday February 21.
This works forms part of the West Sussex County Council North Road scheme, costing £271,428.
The roadworks will take place on the Sunday during the day (9am-7pm), and overnight from Monday February 22 until Thursday February 25, weather permitting. The work will start at 6pm and finish the following morning by 6am.
The work will consist of planing off the existing surface and replacing it with new red tinted surfacing.
Derek Whittington, County Council Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning and Transport, said: “In order to carry out the works safely, lengths of road will need to be closed at night.
“Diversion routes will be via South Street, Grinstead Lane, Crabtree Lane, Boundstone Lane and Sompting Road.”
