A26 Quarry Hill
An 18-tonne weight restriction is in place on the northbound A26 Quarry Hill Viaduct. The viaduct passes over the A21 and heads into Tonbridge from Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

The restriction is a precautionary measure after routine inspections of the bridge identified that strengthening work may be needed in the future. The weight restriction will protect the integrity of the bridge while this is investigated further.

All vehicles over 18 tonnes will be required to follow a short diversion via the A21 northbound to Morleys Interchange, where they will be directed to return on the southbound carriageway and enter Tonbridge using the southbound exit slip road at Vauxhall Lane Interchange. Bus operators and emergency services vehicles are still able to use the route.

During the closures, drivers travelling coastbound will be diverted at the Whitfield Roundabout to join the A256 towards Dover. They will then continue along the A256 to its junction with the A20 where they can turn left to continue with their journeys.
