It’s well known that young drivers are at risk on the roads.
A combination of inexperience and, in some cases, youthful over-exuberance, can result in tragedy. Or, in the ‘best scenario’ cases, an expensive lesson where only the vehicle is damaged.
This is why the Partnership offer two projects to help young drivers understand the risks that they face and develop strategies to avoid those risks.
The New Driver Awareness project is offered both as elective public sessions and in schools/colleges.
And, new for 2013, the Graduate scheme is being piloted with driving instructors to enhance the training given to young people as they learn to drive.
If you’re new to the roads – or have a relative who is – make sure that you have a look at the free help we’ve got on offer.
Together, we can drive down the number of young people killed or seriously injured on our roads.
